OVER-RIDING CURVED SWITCHES

Over-Riding Curved Switches use curved switch rails configured to support the required route movement and turnout geometry. Controlled machining and fabrication help maintain the required rail profile, fit and alignment across the complete switch assembly.

THICK WEB SWITCHES

Thick Web Switches provide a robust switch-rail configuration for demanding railway applications. The switch geometry, machining, interfaces and operating requirements are coordinated with the applicable turnout design.

LONG-BED MACHINING

CNC equipment with X-axis capacities from 3 to 13 metres supports controlled machining of long railway components.

MULTI-AXIS MACHINING

Three-axis, five-axis and double-head capabilities help reduce repositioning while maintaining control over critical profiles and interfaces.

RAIL PROFILE DEVELOPMENT

Switch-rail profiles and transitions are machined around the applicable drawing and functional requirements.

CONTROLLED FABRICATION

Fabricated elements are produced and checked against defined geometry, alignment and interface requirements.

DIMENSIONAL INSPECTION

Profiles, straightness, alignment, interfaces and other critical dimensions are verified using controlled measurement methods.

The relationship between the switch rail and stock rail is controlled to support fit, movement and wheel guidance.

Mounting positions are coordinated with the sleeper layout and applicable fastening system.
ADJOINING TRACKWORK
