ROLLING-STOCK COMPONENTS

WAGON COMPONENTS

Products are manufactured around approved drawings, material specifications, dimensional requirements and defined inspection criteria.

ROLLING-STOCK COMPONENTS

COMPONENTS FOR DEMANDING WAGON APPLICATIONS

CAL Group manufactures products for railway wagon bogie and coupling applications, supported by integrated casting, heat treatment, precision machining, testing and controlled quality processes.

WAGON PRODUCT RANGE

MANUFACTURED AROUND CONTROLLED DRAWINGS AND INTERFACES

HS BOGIE PRODUCTS

Products for HS bogie applications are manufactured through controlled material, production and inspection processes. Critical dimensions, mechanical properties and mating interfaces are verified against the applicable requirements.

LWLH BOGIE PRODUCTS

Products for LWLH bogie applications are supported by integrated foundry, machining and quality-control capabilities developed for repeat railway production.

CBC COUPLER PRODUCTS

Products for Centre Buffer Coupler applications are manufactured around the applicable material, geometry, loading and interface requirements.

INTEGRATED PRODUCTION

CONTROL FROM MATERIAL TO FINISHED COMPONENT

Turnout design begins with an understanding of how the route will be used, what loads it will carry and how it must fit within the available railway layout.

MATERIAL ENGINEERING

Material chemistry and mechanical-property requirements are controlled around the applicable product specification.

CASTING

Casting methodology is developed around component geometry, loading conditions and required production consistency.

HEAT TREATMENT

Defined heat-treatment cycles support the required mechanical and metallurgical properties.

PRECISION MACHINING

Critical faces, bores, datums and mating interfaces are machined against controlled drawings.

TESTING

Chemical, physical, metallurgical, dimensional and applicable non-destructive tests support product verification.

TRACEABILITY

Material, manufacturing and inspection records remain linked to the identified product.

PROCESS CONTROL

VALIDATED ONCE. REPEATED WITH CONTROL.

Once a product and its manufacturing route have been validated, the approved chemistry, casting methodology, heat-treatment cycle, machining programme and inspection plan are documented for repeat production.
DRAWING CONTROL
The current approved drawing and revision are confirmed before manufacturing begins.
STANDARDISED PRODUCTION
Validated parameters are carried into regular production through controlled process documentation.
STAGE-WISE INSPECTION
Checks are performed after critical production stages rather than only after the component is complete.
FINAL ACCEPTANCE
Product identity, dimensions, test status, documentation and traceability are confirmed before release.
